The world comes together at ASFG!
On Saturday, October 17, we invite every ASFG parent, student, staff member, alumni, and friend to join us for World Family Day, a celebration of the many cultures, traditions, countries, regions, and stories that make up our community.
ASFG is home to an exceptionally international community, with more nationalities represented than any other school in Guadalajara. Families from Mexico and countries around the world bring languages, traditions, experiences, and perspectives that enrich our school every day. At the same time, cultural diversity exists within countries too, and Mexico itself is home to an extraordinary richness of regional traditions, foods, music, art, languages, and histories.
World Family Day is a celebration of all of this richness, and it belongs to all of us. Whether your family is Mexican, international, multicultural, or has connections to more than one place in the world, this is a day to share, discover, connect, and celebrate together.
How can you be part of World Family Day?
Join the Celebration: Bring your whole family! Travel the world without leaving ASFG as you explore traditions, enjoy flavors from Mexico and around the globe, and connect with families from across our community.
Be Part of the Parade of Nations: One of the highlights of World Family Day! Walk proudly behind your country's flag as we celebrate the many nationalities represented at ASFG. Whether Mexico or another country is part of your family's story, we want to see your flag in the parade!
Reconnect as Alumni: Meet old friends, connect with current families, and experience the evolving spirit of the ASFG community.
Share a Country or Regional Culture: Host a booth and bring a culture to life! Families can represent a country from anywhere in the world or celebrate the distinctive culture of a region within Mexico. Share food, art, crafts, clothing, books, music, history, games, or traditions and help others discover something new.
