ASFG Recognized Among Top American Schools Abroad for Literary Excellence
This year, Sin Fronteras, ASFG’s student literary magazine, was recognized as a REALM First Class magazine by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
Out of 456 student magazines submitted from 44 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and six countries, only 135 received the contest’s highest distinction. In the American Schools Abroad/Canada category, ASFG was one of only two schools to earn the REALM First Class award.
This recognition places ASFG alongside the American School of Paris as the only American schools abroad to receive this top honor in 2025.
REALM (Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines) celebrates outstanding student-produced literary magazines that elevate the art and craft of writing. This award reflects the depth of student voice, editorial leadership, and faculty mentorship behind Sin Fronteras.
At ASFG, we believe strong writing builds strong thinking. Recognition at this level affirms our commitment to nurturing purposeful learners and effective communicators who can express ideas with clarity and originality.

El ASFG es Reconocido entre las Mejores Escuelas Americanas en el Extranjero por su Excelencia Literaria
Este año, Sin Fronteras, la revista literaria estudiantil del ASFG, fue reconocida como REALM First Class por el National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
De las 456 revistas estudiantiles postuladas por escuelas de 44 estados de Estados Unidos, Washington D.C. y seis países distintos, únicamente 135 recibieron la distinción más alta del concurso. En la categoría de American Schools Abroad/Canada, el ASFG fue una de las dos escuelas que recibieron el reconocimiento REALM First Class.
Este reconocimiento coloca al ASFG junto con la American School of Paris como las únicas escuelas americanas en el extranjero en recibir este máximo honor en 2025.
El premio REALM (Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines) celebra a revistas literarias sobresalientes producidas por estudiantes que elevan el arte y la destreza en la escritura. Esta distinción refleja la profundidad de la voz de nuestros estudiantes, el liderazgo editorial y el acompañamiento de los maestros detrás de Sin Fronteras.
En el colegio, creemos que la habilidad de la escritura fortalece el pensamiento. El reconocimiento a este nivel reafirma nuestro compromiso de formar estudiantes con metas definidas y comunicadores efectivos capaces de expresar sus ideas con claridad y originalidad.
