Summer Programs
Many colleges and universities offer summer programs for high school students. This is an excellent way to experience life on a college campus for a few weeks during summer vacation. There are programs offered for SAT preparation, to study art, film, drama, computers and more. There are also opportunities to actually earn college credit.

This link provides information regarding Clark University's Minds, Matter and Medicine for the 21st century. This three week course which is team-taught by five Clark faculty members from various departments, provides an opportunity for students to to explore some of the hottest topics in science and math in daily discussions and laboratory workshops.
The Rhode Island School of Design Pre-College Program is designed to give 16- to 18-year-old high school students an introduction to the art school experience. For six weeks, students follow a college-like studio curriculum, live in RISD residence halls and have fun on weekend outings to museums, beaches and area cultural attractions, while maintaining a high level of initiative and responsibility regarding work and behavior. The course of study is focused, serious and challenging.
