This is Julie's eleventh year working as a high school counselor and her sixth year at ASFG. Prior to moving to Mexico, she worked for five years as a high school counselor in the U.S. and is certified by the state of South Carolina in school counseling. She holds a BS from the College of Charleston and an MEd. in school counseling from the Citadel, both in Charleston, SC.
The high school counselor is responsible for assisting students with academic and emotional concerns, course selection, college/university admission, and career exploration.
Students may be referred by parents, administrators, teachers or self-referral.
