About Us
The goal of the Support Services
is to facilitate student success by providing educational support and enrichment
within ASFG's academically challenging program. We assess student needs
and strengths individually to support all kinds of learners. We provide
direct instruction in English language subjects through small pull-out classes
and co-teach in the regular classroom. The staff works closely with parents and
community professionals to maximize student learning.
The Academic and Socialization Assistance
Program, also known as ASAP, is a school-within-a-school for selected students
of third language backgrounds with limited English skills. Students enter
an intensive individualized program of English language instruction that
prepares them to mainstream into regular ASFG classes. As their English level
improves, these students join grade appropriate subject classes.
