Mrs. Espinosa graduated from the American School of Guadalajara in 1982. Studied Chemical Engineering at the ITESO. She has a masters in education form the CEP: Maestria en Educación con Intervención en la Práctica Educativa. She also has a "diplomado" from the Tec. de Monterrey in "Tendencias Educativas".  She has been working at the American School since 1986 teaching physics, chemistry, geometry, algebra 2, pre-calculus and calculus. She is the current math department head.

 Teaching this school year: AP Calculus, Calculus, Honors PreCalculus, and Trigonometry

 

Alfonso Gonzalez

Studied Chemical Engineering at U de G graduating after constructing a thin layer evaporator  which is being used  for laboratory practices and research. Worked in  chemical industry for about 5 years as Process Engineer and  Production Manager. Has been teaching  math, chemistry and physics  for  7  years. Has two certificates in teachers training courses by English key and Anglo Mexicano. One  of his hobbies is Astronomy so at the time  he is finishing a “Diplomado en Astrofisica” By ITESO.

June Mitsuhashi

June graduated from the ASFG in 1996.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering.  She has a Master’s in Wood Science and Engineering from Oregon State University. After completing her Master’s she figured she wanted to study for a little longer so she moved on to a PhD degree in the same institution and she’s working on her PhD research project here in Guadalajara.  She has 8 years of experience teaching undergrads, high school, and middle school students both in private and public institutions.

 

Rhett B. Butler, M.D.

Rhett holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Davis and a doctor of medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He took a sabbatical leave from his private urology practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico to ride his bicycle to South America but canceled the rest of his trip when he met his wife, Mary, in Guadalajara. He has been teaching mathematics and conducting educational research since 2000. Before coming to ASFG, he worked at the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) and the Tec de Monterrey.
