At
The American School Foundation of Guadalajara, there are three
types of employment opportunities:
Support
Staff Positions:
These positions are typically for
classroom aides, secretaries, accountants, purchasing, security
and maintenance. Preference is given to local residents who
are bilingual.
Spanish
Language Teaching Positions:
These positions are typically for
teachers of Spanish language and social studies, physical education
and coaching of sports teams. Candidates for these positions
must have an undergraduate degree in education or the area
for which they are applying, and at least two years of teaching
experience. Preference is given to local residents who are
bilingual.
English
Language Teaching Positions:
These positions are for certified
and experienced native English speakers, typically recruited
in the U.S. or Canada. Candidates for these positions must
have an undergraduate degree earned in an English speaking
country, a teaching credential or 12 semester hours of professional
education from a US accredited institution, and at least two
years of teaching experience in a US-type school program.

TO APPLY FOR EMPLOYMENT
Just fill out the on-line application corresponding to the type
of employment opportunity you are interested in.
SELECTION
PROCESS FOR TEACHING POSITIONS
1. All applications are screened by the Human Resources Office.
Applications that do not meet the basic requirements will be
notified and deleted from the data base.
2. Qualified candidates will be asked to complete the application
process by forwarding a narrative essay, two letters of recommendation
and transcripts of last degree earned.
3. Complete files for qualified candidates will be available
for perusal by Director General and Principals.
4. Selected candidates will be contacted directly by Director
General or Principals to set-up initial interview. |
