Early Childhood staff members are present at the front gate to our section as of 7:30 a.m. Children are supervised while waiting to enter their classrooms at 7:55. Children arriving after the 8:00 bell are considered tardy. Because our classes start the morning with group instruction, it is very important that our students arrive on time so that they feel like an integral part of the group.

In general, all Early Childhood classes begin with a morning group instruction where the morning activities are introduced. After that the children move into center work until 10:30 a.m. Then children have recess, a small snack from home, and finish the day with a quiet time, special activities and project work.

Nursery and pre-kinder classes are dismissed at 12:30 p.m. and kinder students at 1:00 p.m. Parents are given a tolerance period to pick up their children, after which children are taken to our Early Childhood childcare program and a fee is charged.
