APPLICATION PROCEDURE
STEPS TO FOLLOW
TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION TO ASFG
1. Download and print the PDF file containing
the appropriate list of admissions procedures, checklist of
documentation we will require to process your application,
and the various forms to complete.
2. Fill out the admission application and
gather all the necessary documentation and signatures.
3. Return all corresponding paperwork to
the ASFG Admissions Office and include payment of the nonrefundable
$100.00 dollars or $1,000.00 pesos application fee.
* We accept debit or credit cards (except American Express) and both U.S. and Mexican checks, payable in dollars
or in pesos, made out to the American School Foundation of
Guadalajara, A.C. NO CASH.
4. Contact the
Admissions Office to verify that student's file is complete.
Documents and payment may be submitted directly to the Admissions
Office, or sent by messenger service (Fed-Ex, UPS, DHL, etc.).
5. Take Admissions Exam
6. Access application decisions online beginning February 18th, 2010.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
FOR ALL STUDENTS:
- Application fee $100.00 dollars (non-refundable).

- Grades to date from current school plus transcripts from two previous years.

- Confidential Student Conduct Evaluation Form(P1st - 12th only)

- Copy of vaccination record.

- Original and Copy of Birth Certificate.
|
- Copy of proof of Major Medical Coverage, with student’s name and expiration date.

- Copy of official identification of both parents (Passport, FM3, FM2, etc)

- Two letters of recommendation from families known to us OR letter from employer.

- Admission test and personal interview with the student.

STUDENTS APPLYING TO GRADES NURSERY - 5th:
- Preschool Confidential Teacher Recommendation Form

- Certificate of completion of preschool studies for students entering P1st/1st grades.

- Final 2009-2010 report cards or evaluations from previous school(s): grades to date plus previous two years.

STUDENTS APPLYING TO GRADES 6 – 12:
- Official Transcripts with school seal or stamp: grades to date plus the previous two years.

- Please include an explanation of the grading system if different from those used in Mexico or the US. (Final official transcript prior to first day of classes)

- Recommendation forms completed by most recent ENGLISH

STUDENTS FROM ABROAD:
- Copy of student's visa status in Mexico.

- Birth Certificate with apostille authentication.

- Official transcripts of all grades and equivalency with apostille authentication.

Note: We will require final, end of the school year, transcripts for all students before the student can be admitted to class in August.
All applications must be received no later than January 22nd, Monday-Thursday 9:00am – 1:00pm in order to be considered
for entrance to the 2010-2011 school year. Applications received
after that time will be handled on a wait-pool basis.
It is the responsibility of the parents to have a functioning e-mail address, and to be checking for correspondence, as we will be in touch with you through this medium for admissions related communication.
